Home foreclosures have fallen nationwide to a new post-recession low.

Foreclosures in April 2017 were down to a level not seen since November 2005 – as the number of properties with foreclosure filings dropped 23 percent compared to a year earlier and fell 7 percent from March. That’s according to ATTOM Data Solutions, which tracks the numbers.

But homeowners are still having a tough time in some parts of the country. We look at the 10 worst states for foreclosure activity during April, counting down to the state with the highest rate.
